Renova Energia is a company which operates in the generation of electric energy from renewable and alternative sources such as small hydroelectric plants (SHPs) and wind power.
Active in the sector since 2000, Renova Energia is a bellwether company in the clean energy sector. Currently, the company operates in the state of Bahia three SHPs – the Serra da Prata Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex – with a total installed capacity of 41.8 MW, and 14 wind farms with a further 270 MW, the latter currently at the installation phase. The company also has a large portfolio of alternative renewable energy projects in the states of Bahia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Maranhão, Goiás, Tocantins and Paraná.
