Understanding its business as the generation of energy with respect for the environment, Renova Energy is pledged in assuring the continuity of its activities, having full conscience of its role and its socio-environmental responsibility. We are compromised, therefore, with the principles that conduct the sustainable development, and its social, environmental, and economic pillars.

Currently there is an increasing difficulty in the feasibility of great projects of generation of electric energy, in result of the raised socio-environmental impacts associate to them, such as carbon emissions (thermal-electric generation) or creation of extensive areas flooded with potentially significant impacts in the half biotic (big hydroelectric). The PCHs does not present such impacts, a time that are enterprises that use to advantage the existing hydroelectric potentials in its natural falls, being characterized for the formation of small lakes, normally inferior the 3,0 km2, what it minimizes the environment impacts of our activities.

The energy of the winds, also a renewable source, is, in turn, widely available, with low environment and clean impact, for not emitting residues as the carbonic gas in the atmosphere. The generation of Aeolian energy is a complementary source that also is business-oriented part of our Plan, constituting an important point favorable to the sustainability of our business.
